Bayu S. Hidajat - Biography

HBayu Sundana Hidajat, Born in the city of Garut, West Java, on 13 May 1964. His father's military career, called Alm. Hidajat. His mother called Karmini. He was the son of 8 to 9 brothers.

Education background is Mechanical Engineering Department, Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Institut Teknologi Nasional - Bandung. Continue the course at this time that had left behind because of work outside the city. Currently working on the PT. Exelindo and continue to study S-1 extension and UNJANI undertaking form Skripsi End Task, Study On Carbon Composition Materials Damascussteel.

Create design cutting tools, began working on the PT. CNC - Consulting Engineering & Manufacturing, in Bandung. This company is creating tools for the various pieces of packaging industry. Most of our customers are food & beverage Industry and Pharmaceutical Industry. Such as PT. Arnoots Indonesia, Indofood, Danone Biscuit, Kalbe Farma. Most of the tools using Hard Materials as main raw materials, such as Tungsten, Carbide, HSS. The process of the process using a high precision engineering machinery.

Amas Sambas - Biography

Amas Sambas, was born in Ciwidey, Kabupaten Bandung on 15 February 1959, husband and wife pair of, oneng Kartaatmadja with Almarhumah Aisyah. He is the first child, and from the four brothers. Status Married with Sopiah and has six children.

Profession as a smith started when he was 12 years old. Work begins as the first Co. Asst. Bladesmith (Panjak) and should be done every day after school. At the age of 16 years, he has become bladesmith, talented. According to the elders around Kampung Lio, Ciwidey, Talent he once very prominent and makes it as a talented young bladesmith.

At the age of 20 years, he has set a solid choice and choose the profession as a blacksmith of his life choices. Some of the products that he has created a commercial and be successful has to cover the needs of his life. Products such as agricultural tools, such as: hoe, sickle, slave, Cungkir, etc.. Since the age of 25 years he specialisasi to take a machete with a variety of product models and type, among others: Pameuncitan, Galonggong, Jonggol, Paut Nyere, Simeut Pelem, Salam Nunggal, Jepangan, Hambalan, Gula Sabeulah (Bedog Cepot), etc..

Brief History of Gosali Pamor Siliwangi (GPS)

Gosali Pamor Siliwangi (GPS), was established on August 17, 1996. The founders are Bpk. Susanto Widjaja, Ibu Sri Sulastri Anggraini and Bayu Sundana Hidajat.

We take the name Gosali, from Sundanese language, meaning is the workshop, the work of a Master Bladesmith (MPU). Pamor means that the metal material has a texture and a beautiful image and charisma. Siliwangi was taken from the name of a king in the kingdom Padjajaran the existence of 14 centuries, the West Java in Indonesia. Siliwangi figure is a king of wisdom and protector of the people Padjadjaran Kingdom.

Initial idea of GPS is very simple at that time. First, the people of West Java, is not the culture of making "Baja Pamor" (Damasusteel). Culture can be said has already vanished. The second, all of West Java, has a noble heritage, namely Kujang weapons. We want to make not only as cleaver symbol in the picture, but the weapon known as the right exists. I am proud of the keris is already known by people of the world and is one of the world cultural heritage by UNESCO. But I sad, because more people recognize ethnic weapons from other countries. In fact Kujang have, the higher the value of art, both aesthetics and function of anatomy.

With all the limitations we started this job. we stock the most is just to realize the spirit of hope and aspiration. Research funds we get some benefits from our efforts, in the small business unit, in other words only Sri Sulastri Anggraini Susanto Widjaja and become the Donors. Some of our colleagues who gave contrib Kang Tedi Kardin and Craft knife with a brand of T. Kardin, at Jl. Hegarmanah, Bandung. Teddy Kang gave borrow books litelaur, for the copy. Bpk.
